The theme for this quick photoshoot took inspiration from the ‘varsity’ element of this COACH Modern Stripe Varsity Backpack. The destination for most transatlantic school trips? The House of Parliament and Big Ben, of course.
The retro styling of this Varsity Backpack is something I immediately fell in love with, especially when I found out that the bag is also offered in this very bold burgundy colour. COACH do blacks and browns very well, but it is refreshing to see more colour in their latest range of accessories. It also comes in a deep blue if you fancy something a little more reserved.
The bold racing stripes add a sporty twist to the already popular Coach Campus Backpack, and I love this contrasting element that dominates the piece. It’s business as usual when it comes to material; only the finest pebbled leather will do, along with perfectly tailored stitching. For those longer days carrying the Varsity Backpack, the wide padded straps provide plenty of comfort. The best part of this bag, for me at least, is that there is plenty of room for a laptop, so there’s no excuse not to be working on-the-go. The final detail, the iconic turnlock key, means the outside pocket is surprisingly secure; perfect for carrying my more valuable point-and-shoot cameras around the capital.
Next stop on the varsity tour, Buckingham Palace…
