My recent trip to Barcelona saw me take the American tailoring of Abercrombie & Fitch over to the European Continent. The Catalan city is an amazing place for shooting lookbooks and I’ll certainly be visiting again in the next few years before our political discontent makes the trip a little more difficult.
Denim usually has a home on the bottom half of my outfits, so it was great to incorporate this Chambray Shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch into this look. While it is a classic fit (usually a no-go for me), the generous stretch material allows you to buy the shirt slightly undersized for that more fitted look. The fact that it is actually cotton, rather than denim, also means the shirt is light and breathable, and so it is a great option for those warmer summer months.
Paired with the shirt, these White Preppy Fit Shorts are both well-tailored and comfortable. The soft vintage wash gives the shorts a more muted colour in direct sunlight so you won’t be blinding people. I also really like the shorter leg length, especially with a turn up, which keeps the look preppy rather than oversized. I will be wearing these a lot this summer.
To finish the look, I’ve added tan details with the Daniel Wellington Classic Bristol Watch and these Tan Tassel Loafers from Burton. Tan is a great colour for complimenting sun-kissed skin and will always look smart, no matter the occasion.
