While you will often find me wearing a tailored suit or an outfit with sharp edges, sometimes life on the move requires a look that is a little more casual. After all, if you’re running late for a meeting (ashamedly almost a daily occurrence for me), it can be a little difficult hitting top speed in a three-piece. So, with this in mind, I took some inspiration from the streetstyle collection from House of Fraser and kitted myself out for an afternoon on the move.
This Bottle Green Sundowner Jacket by French Connection is the perfect top layer for dodging pedestrian traffic and heavy showers in the capital. Green is most definitely the colour for late-2016 and the larger-than-life Brazilian-inspired print certainly stands out against a backdrop of brickwork and steel. I’ve paired it with a plain white tee and black skinny jeans for the dressed-down look.
On my feet, this pair of Kurt Geiger Kurtis High-Top Sneakers in black leather are functional, comfortable and look great. I love the subtle embossed animal-print on the leather and the signature white sole you find on the majority of Kurt Geiger shoes. The reinforced cuff also provides more than adequate support for all the twists and turns of daily life.
As any blogger will tell you, no pocket can accommodate a DSLR camera, and so I always require a bag when I’m on the move. This Linea Black Rucksack is big enough to store all of my essentials, while the faux-leather minimalist finish makes it discreet enough not to detract from the rest of the outfit. It also feels tough enough to take on the grind of daily life and is an excellent addition to my ever-growing bag collection.
