Super Skinny Suit – ASOS // Patent Loafers – Zara
Sometimes, it is okay to feel blue. In this case, it is an electric blue that puts a smile on your face as you strut your stuff amongst some of the most prestigious postcodes that the capital has to offer. Knightsbridge was the perfect backdrop to showcase an affordable suit and shoe combination that looks like it is straight from the designer rails at Harvey Nichols. Oh, and a shirt and tie isn’t even needed.
The ASOS Super Skinny Suit is a great addition to my summer wardrobe. A decent amount of stretch means the trousers feel more akin to sports wear, but the tailored cut and soft-touch woven fabric add a real sense of luxury to this outfit. On the jacket, the built-in polka dot pocket square (more of a rectangle if truth be told) may be too lazy for some but that is the appeal; you can simply put this suit on with the minimum of fuss. It would be a great option if you need to fit something smart in your suitcase, as the material will simply bounce back at anything the luggage handlers at British Airways can throw at it.
On my feet, the practical and stylish Patent Loafers from Zara completes a very lightweight look. In the turmoil that is a British summer, it always pays off to wear shoes that can deal with large amounts of water. They may not showcase the red sole found on Mr Louboutin’s rather expensive alternatives, but the finish is very high-end and they offer something different to a usual leather shoe. With a brilliant patent finish, they really do make it your time to shine.
