Hopping across the islands of the Philippines, over the waves of water and under the gaze of a smouldering sun, can be a daunting task. Getting from A to B often involved navigating planes, boats, tricycles and even a Jeepny, all whilst having my worldly possessions in tow.
Antler’s Aire Large Suitcase may have a soft skin, but it is the perfect travel companion on even the most difficult of trips. Weighing in at a featherweight 2.7kg, it is the lightest soft-shell ever produced by Antler; ideal when you’re boarding tropical inter-island planes with a slightly stricter baggage allowance than usual. The fixed TSA combination lock is a great feature, allowing me to safely and securely transport The Lady‘s engagement ring over air, land and sea for a number of days with complete peace of mind. When the ground was a little flatter (a luxury in the Philippines), the four wheels offered a comfortable way to manoeuvre the suitcase as we weaved through the noise and the crowds of the airports and seaports during rush hour.
In terms of appearance, the suitcase looked and felt very sleek and stylish whilst always feeling robust enough to take whatever Filipino life could throw at it. It comes highly recommended for anyone looking for a new travel companion, and you can find it, along with the rest of the Antler collection, here.
