Sometimes a gentleman just needs to dress smartly. While the urge is there to wrap up in coats and roll-neck jumpers, even the slightest glimmer of warmth and sunlight will still have me reaching for a shirt and blazer in the autumn months. Swade Clothing have an excellent clothing collection for the dapper gentleman that will help you unleash the inner-James May; whilst looking a lot more suave (and hopefully younger) of course.
The imaginatively-named Blazer 916* may not say much on the label, but the luxurious black velvet finish on this tailored jacket does all of the talking. Flirting with boundaries of black tie attire, it will add a touch of class to any shirt-based outfit. Underneath is Shirt 838*; a floral print shirt with great little details. I particularly like the striped lining on the buttons and cuffs that helps it stand out from other shirts.
Completing the outfit is this pair of dark wash Dylan Slim Jeans from River Island. With the top half of the outfit the focus of this shoot, I kept it simple on the legs. On the feet, however, I opted to coordinate with the blazer; this pair of Velvet Moccasins from Dune do the job perfectly and add more of that luxury texture to this autumnal attire.
