The White Edition

Wimbledon may be upon us, but I started a few weeks early in
donning the all-white attire. As part of my recent voyage on the Mediterranean,
I had the pleasure of spending a couple of days on Symi Island in the Aegean (you can check out some of my shots on my Instagram).
Alongside the usual swathes of perfect turquoise hues, Symi is bursting with
colour; houses, pathways and churches covering almost every spectrum of the
rainbow. No better backdrop then for an all-white shoot.

F&F Clothing supplied these brilliant white tailored shorts that were the focus of the outfit. Always a gamble on the logistics
front but never a gamble in the summer-style stakes, these shorts are a perfect
match for whites, greens, yellows, pinks, or indeed, any other colour in the
rainbow that you choose to match it with.

I paired the shorts with a crisp white waffle shirt from Zara (an absolute staple in my summer wardrobe) and this smart pair of Tan Suedette Tassel Loafers from Topman. I felt that a strong shoe was needed for the outfit and I wouldn’t trust myself going completely white when faced with sand and sea. I should say that these loafers are also perfect to pair with a pair of lighter trousers when the sun drops and the air gets cooler. Socks optional, of course.

I’m back in the UK now but with that mercury starting to evaporate from the thermometer (old-school reference in the digital age), I’m hoping that this is a look I can use over summer.

Have you ever gone all-white in your Spring/Summer outfits? Anyone tried it in Winter?
