With the mercury rising and the sun creeping further up the blue canvas of the sky, could Winter finally be over? Let us hope so.
As much as I don’t mind an excuse to layer up in the colder months, it is such a shame to lose a statement piece as it drowns under an overcoat. So I took this opportunity to wear this blue Zara blazer from their AW15 collection.
Blazers come in all shapes and sizes and as a keen collector, I’m always on the lookout for something different. The black detail on this piece is a great touch and the lack of lapels or collar is definitely a talking point.
I paired the blazer with a crisp waffle weave shirt as I really wanted to set the bold colours apart. The woven shirt is a little thicker than other offerings, great for that fifth season that the UK seems to have (the one where it’s too warm to be Winter but no-one told Spring it was up next…)
Finishing the outfit with my trusty pair of jeans and Topman Dune Leather Boots (previously featured in a less formal outfit here), I was ready to jump into the City whilst prepared for any formal occasion that may pop up. Subtle details can make big differences and I think this jacket is no exception.
