My invite for the catwalks must still be in the sorting office, but I was lucky enough to be invited to the London Fashion Week UGG Sanctuary this weekend; a safe haven away from the hustle and bustle of Somerset House below. As the old adage goes, when in Rome…
For this outfit post, I decided to showcase a couple of items. These Grey Check Slim Trousers from River Island are a nod to the other, more corporate, side of my life. They have a very durable feel whilst fitting well to my inexplicably skinny legs. I am trying to incorporate more patterns into my outfits and this pair of trousers certainly tick that box.
My other statement piece is this Picton Leather Document Bag from Ted Baker. If you are an avid reader of Twenty First Century Gent then you’ll probably be aware of my love for all things Ted. I feel that it is a brand with real quality and heritage. However, I must admit that it is also a brand that I could see myself wearing in thirty years’ time, whilst still look reasonably cool, hence the loyalty. This offering from Ted is useful as a day bag and can be used in almost any situation. I’ll often pair this with work wear on my 9 to 5 shifts.
Braving the cold slightly, I paired these two pieces with a crisp white waffle shirt from Zara and Dune’s effortlessly suave velvet moccasins– as featured in my giveaway earlier this year. Spring is just around the corner according to the forecasts so ‘Shirt and Loafer Season’ is almost upon us too. Cannot wait.
